Saturday, January 3, 2009 : Heading to Darkfall Nikodemus
We will be diving into Darkfall when it's released later this month (hopefully).
After the debacle that was 2008 we are all yearning for an MMO we can stick with for
the long haul and end this ridiculous game hopping which was the result of a string of
pitiful MMO releases this past year. Inquisition will be an Ork/Mahirim race guild.

Monday, December 29, 2008 : Finished with WAR Nikodemus
mediocre
[mee-dee-oh-ker]
adjective

1. of only ordinary or moderate quality; neither good nor bad; barely adequate.
2. rather poor or inferior.

WAR is a game that has cloaked itself in unrelenting mediocrity.

Developed by a company which created arguably the best RvR system to date coupled with the fact it's based on a rich Warhammer universe seemed almost too good to be true. How could anyone possibly fuck that up? Once again it is proven that anything is possible, I can only theorize that Mark Jacobs and the rest of the brain trust decided they shan't be outdone by Funcom and show, they also have the talent to frustrate and bore gamers to death in 2008.

To hit just a few area's of failure... Elementary renown rewards, ridiculous amount and types of "CC" abilities (which made Daoc seem tame in comparison), cramped orvr zones, carrot on a stick design method, end game rvr does not work due to instability, bugged pve bosses, massive class imbalance, juvenile rvr objective implementation, shallow class customization and embarrassingly shallow crafting system just to name a few off the top of my head.

Other then the tome of knowledge, which is simply a novelty that wears off quickly there is nothing creative, interesting or exiting about this game. End game simply funnels players into fortresses which then (if you have not logged yet, bored from zone crashes)leads to instanced city battles. All of which really means nothing.

Inquisition is moving on, we have payed for the WAR beta long enough.

We have been following Darkfall for quite some time now and it looks like the game will actually be released in our lifetime so we will see what '09 will bring.

Tuesday, December 9, 2008 : Holding Pattern Nikodemus
We are currently in a holding pattern with WAR, not actively going out and seeking new members. We have not packed our tents just yet, however we won't be staying around long if they don't get their act together.

The future of WAR is looking shaky at best. The WAR dev team is being lead by what seems to be a crack team of out of touch, spineless hacks who's best days are most likely behind them. They are unable or unwilling to take the necessary action required to mold WAR into a game players actually enjoy. I refuse to believe this ,bungling gaggle of what must be Full Sail drop outs, really has any type of professional oversight other than this functioning retard.

Inq has played on Skull Throne since day one and has seen the population slowly decrease as players reach and realize what a mediocre, buggy and amateurish joke end game "rvr" is. Guild leaders and veterans of the game are all saying the same thing and are all in the same boat, most are still hanging on out of obligation to their guild which is admirable but just prolonging the inevitable.

Everyone has an opinion on why the game has gone down hill, my personal opinion is .....well it doesn't really matter. Simply put, who ever was steering the ship really has no business in the industry. Let's get this guy black balled so he can no longer spread his filth over anything else we will ever play.
